Hello,

Regularly I'm advising colleagues to update TortoiseHg to a more recent version.
They said: "OK but how can I know that my version is so old?".

I'm wondering if and how the date of the build could be added in the
About dialog box.

Thanks

André

Maybe you'll need to hack setup.py and version.liveversion(), but I'm not sure
if it's common to include build/release date in about dialog.

I wish Windows had official package manager like apt-get or yum. AFAIK, there
are a few third-party tools:

You are right.
At least, I could show them the copyright part of the About dialog.
The year is usually correct.

BTW, I think automatic updates should not be implemented.
